“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Paris and London!

February 18-20 I went to Paris to meet up with my dad who was there on a business trip. We saw all the normal touristy things like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. It was really nice to see and spend time with him. He also spent a lot of time teaching me photography techniques and how to use my new camera. The highlight of the trip was definitely the 9 chocolate croissants and 3 nutella crepes that I ate in 3 days...yummy! The weekend after that we had a four day weekend but since I was running low on money I decided to go hang out with my family friends in Madrid for some peace and quiet. I didn't do much except for eat and relax but it was nice to be able to get a good night sleep for once without any kids screaming and crying in the background.
The next weekend I went to London to see my friend Alix Kraft who is studying there for a semester. I couldn't stop grinning when I first heard every one speaking with their British accents. Finally a language I could understand!! The London nightlife is also very different from Spain. The night starts around 8 or 9 p.m and ends around 1 or 2 a.m. In Spain the night doesn't start until 11 or 12 and people don't come home until 5 a.m! My 33 year old host uncle usually stays out until 7:30 a.m on the weekends. Next weekend my program is taking us to Morocco! This is going to be an exhausting next couple of months!
